Biography
Sera was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1978. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys in 2001. He is one of the founders of the Louisiana Association for Justice Medical Malpractice Section and served as Chair of the section in 1999. He has handled over 35 medical malpractice trials and appeals.
Sera served as a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association Professionalism Committee for 22 years. He has taught over 20 seminars in medical malpractice and trial practice. He also served as a Lafayette City Judge pro tem. Sera became of counsel to Nelson & Hammons in January 2024.
